So yesterday I fell off a horse, and thought that all I had done was bruised my butt (and my ego). However, when I woke up this morning my neck was so sore I could barely lift my head off my pillow. Anyway turns out I’ve strained something called the facet joint and in response all the muscles in the right hand side of my neck have spasmed.
Apparently keeping it moving will help but I am in so much pain all I can do is lie on the couch with a heat pack. And then struggle to get back up again. I’m not allowed to exercise until at least Wednesday when I have physio again so I guess I’ll just see then.
SO ANNOYING.

Hey there anon! Good on you :) The important thing to remember is that it won’t happen overnight - healthy weight loss is something you have to work towards over time. Its great that you’re working out regularly, but it might be an idea to add some variety to your workouts. Like do some interval training on your elliptical, and maybe add in some strength routines? Blogs like blogilates.com, toneitup.com and bodyrock.tv have some awesome home workout videos that don’t require much (if any!) equipment. And remember to have at least one day a week of rest time! With your diet, portion control is key. I try to have 6 small meals a day instead of 3 large ones, because it means that I don’t get hungry between meals and I’m less likely to binge. You might not lose 1kg per week, but if you stick to a healthy diet and a good exercise regime you will definitely see the results! Best of luck!

I woke up today with a really sore neck and upper back - dunno what I’ve done, I probably slept on it funny. Anyway today is legs day - should I still lift weights, or should I just do cardio?
